Walks, hikes, bike rides, outside play, video games, video chats. My toddler loves the wide popcicle sticks and an empty jar. You can also take 6 of them and weave them together. The slightest movement and they pop a part. Over and over and over again.
We have a 8 and 12 year old, but we’re still working (thankfully) from home. They are doing ok, but we can’t guide their e-learning like a parent who has been put out of work.
We have them on board for a flexible list of tasks: math, reading, writing, special project....a chore or two. Exercise too.
Print off some worksheets, assign a book report. My little guy, luckily, can get lost in Wikipedia....he spent 2 days reading about the history of hurricanes.
I feel for parents of younger kids. They need more attention, and lack the maturity to fall in line....it’s a big change.
