A lot of you guys already know me and have seen my car around, but for those of you that haven’t, you’re in luck. Because this is my build thread.

We all have amazing stories behind our cars and what happens alongside them. I hope for this to be a learning opportunity for everyone, as well as share a bit about my car and a bunch of other junk. If you haven't gotten the joke by now, it's the title of this thread. You’ll probably find a lot of Instagram pictures here, but I do try to take a bunch of pictures with my 7D. Shooting your own car gets old after a while.

History/Timeline

The day I bought the car almost two years ago. Ignore my hideous watermark for a blog I used to use for photos:

I thought I would be cool and tint the taillights, which I quickly learned was a mistake.

Coming from the drifting guys, it was a lot different of “what looked good” and “what was accepted”. I think the community kind of sucks you in. Like plastidip (does this qualify for a build thread now? :rofl

And Sawblades.

And open speedlites with no diffusers :facepalm:

Installed some 42dd solid shifter bushings. Absolutely loved the feel of these, was very impressed how snappy it made shifting over the beat rubber ones.

Boost tap bolt backed out on me while on the highway. Luckily I still had the stock PCV system and some ill-fitting tools in the trunk.

I do miss my wide wheels though. So I started realizing that it looked like poop. I removed plasti dip. Lowered it. Installed some PerformanceLEDs city lights (Shawn is a great dude).

When I was static. Should have kept these flaps fresh.

Wrapped my smiley and center caps in teal.

Range Rover HSE wheels. Would look and fit a ton better now that I’m bagged.

My Euro Tails were garbage. Completely oxidized. I took them apart for a project, currently awaiting further things.

And took one final roller with my wheels on.

I said goodbye to the sawblades in June of 2012 and hello to a set of bags and Six Slots.

The sawblades will always have left their mark though. I also noticed how much I needed spacers at this time. Pretty much don’t like remembering my car above this line.

ED30 lip came in and went on.

First water trap blew under pressure. Upgraded to dual SMC’s.

Open Fog grilles, H7 bulbs, fogs, and wink went on.

Cam follower change, intake valves cleaned. Annoying. I hate banjo bolts and the cleaning process.

Took a new roller.

Downpipe and throttle body pipe was next.

Removed the taillight tint and started to appreciate it more and more. I also started to take more photos in places that I probably shouldn’t. In the middle of bridges was probably my favorite.

Decided that playing in the snow was a good idea

I then blew a tire. I realized that my alignment was way off.

A WotBox was a good idea. I actually really like the no lift shift.

And that’s pretty much where we are today. I’m sure I’m missing things, but I will continue to update as it changes.

I'm loving everything about this! The teal is such a cool touch, and you make me want a wink mirror.

Done anything as far as interior goes? Art grey isn't very common and I don't know of anyone who has it who has done something to dress it up or is actually fond of that color.

The color grew on me after I learned of its rarity. A few people come up to me at shows when I open my door and they realize it's not anthracite.

What kind of rear view mirror is that?

That's a five panel wink mirror I wrapped in teal argyle. I've since removed the wrap and added a large "AllThingsLow" banner.
