If they're asking $18k offer $16.5k and negotiate it to the $17-17.5k range. I don't think $18k is outrageous so they may stick to their guns on the price. If they won't negotiate on price, try to get some extra's thrown in like a changer. Good luck.

It's an almost-new car for almost $5k less than a new one would cost.
Try to dicker and see what happens, but I don't find that to be an unfair price.

Sounds like a fair price.....I sold my 2000 for $17K with 25,000 miles. All depends on how desperate the seller is these still blue book at over $20,000..well last time I checked at least
