Question about 4-motion rear valence - please help!

Does a 4-motion rear valence fit on the U.S. spec rear bumper, or would it need to be converted to the European spec rear bumper?
Thanks for any help

The valence fits NA bumpers...I'm pretty sure. You need to cut away a piece of sheetmetal though. Look for Roger Moore's site, he has instructions there. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Ummm. Ok say one link says that I don't need to do anything and the other shows that some sheet metal needs to be cut out. So What's the story - direct bolt on, without any problems at all, or will I need to do some cutting?
Thanks

It's a direct bolt on but you need to trim some metal like it says in this link on Roger Moore's site. http://bambergvr6.freeservers.com/golf_iv_rear_4.htm

If you read the sites they are both the same.....both indicate that the valance requires no modification to fit the US rear bumper. What Roger Moore's site says is that you need to remove the metal part so that its not in view from behind the car......
guess I should indicate that on my site too
