So looking for a quality but cheap set of ignition cables for my 2.0L AEG Jetta...
Looking on mjmautohaus.com, I saw a wide variety of brand and just want to check around the forum to see if anyone has any experience with any of them and if they are worth it...
First are the KMM for $35...

Second is Karlyn for $50...
http://www.mjmautohaus.com/cat...d=997
Beru for $55...

Then obviously neuspeed for $120...
http://www.mjmautohaus.com/cat...=1000
And at my local autozone they have
Duralast for $65

and
Bosch for $130.

I just really want some good cables... And I am asking if the over $100 cables will actually give you that much extra performance that you can notice? I was thinking maybe the Beru ones or The Duralast ones...
I already bought a set of Bosch Iridium plugs, and just want some friendly advice on which set of cables to get. Thanks a bunch!

Re: Question about brands of Ignition Wires... (mazmac24)

I doubt you will notice any enhancement in performance from different cables. In this situation, I wouldn't buy the most expensive and I wouldn't buy the cheapest.
Just get whichever are easier for you to pickup and are right in the middle for pricing.

Re: Question about brands of Ignition Wires... (Archie Bunker)

Plugs an plug wires always add more throttle response with any car. I had stock ones, got 10.2mm ones... didn't like them. got mk3 ones... and now I have neuspeed ones... I'd get them from mjm... thats where I got mine, and my cam. You gotta watch out when it comes to plugs... never use platinum 4s in the 2.0... I run E3 Diamondfire plugs in my motor. They're good for a lil more pep (hardly noticeable) and some better fuel economy. But that regular bosche iridiums should be fine.

I like my Taylor 8.2's Taylor has been making wires for real engines for years and years. I think I got them from usautoparts.com or something like that. They are still small enough that I could squeeze them in my factory holders. But then again, I have an MKIII.

Beru is decent and I buy a lot of Bosch stuff for OEM replacement stuff. You really wont feel any performance difference from wires, the Neuspeed ones are a joke. I'm sure the Duralast ones are fine, I noticed a lot of the stuff they sell is just rebadged parts anyways. I bought a "Duralast" ignition coil a bit ago and it said right on the coil itself that it was Beru lol. But yeah, I just ended up getting NAPA wires when I needed em because it was close to my house.
good luck
