question about front cupholder

when you push the cupholder back into the console, does the "black trim" that covers the cupholder gets back into its closed position automatically? or does it remain open and u'll have to flip it close yourself? mine remains open, so i was wondering if it's broke or not

Mine remains open. It has been that way from day one.

gotta close the door manually after you've pushed it in... at least on mine.
