This is a little strange, but the handles in the roof to help people get in and out of the car (the OS handles) do they return slowly when you pull them down like in the 2000 and up A4's in newer Passats?

Yes they do. At least they do in my 2003 W8 and my girlfriends 2003 Jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg. I assume this is standard on all their vehicles. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
