Let me start off by saying that I'm a shmuck

I disconnected my DRL's a little while ago by bending that gold pin back. I now realize that I actually really did like them - so I tried to reconnect them, but they won't work. the little "prongs" that the bent pin is supposed to slip into (or in between) seem to be bent...
Does anyone have any suggestions?

On your next dub, tape the TFL pin.
Near as I can figure if you want the DRL's back and you've removed the TFL pin, you'll need a new switch.
