i went to this shop to look for a boser hood and now i've heard two things
1. the boser hood is just an extra piece molded onto your existing hood
2. its a completely new hood altogether!
which is correct? both? which is more common, better? all info greatly appreciated.

its an extra piece molded onto your hood. at least thats what mine was. just a piece of sheet metal welded and smoothed into your existing hood.

i dont' understand why that shiet is so expensive though, makes no sense.

makes perfect sense, how could it not? a bodyshop has to spot-weld a peice of sheet metal that they cut to the right shape and size, bend it perfectly over the lights, then grind and smooth it so it's all one smooth peice
why would that be cheap?
