How much did it cost you, all said and done? I'm thinking of buying a car and doing either a 1.8t swap or a vr6, but money is going to be the big issue.

I did mine in my van and spent $3K total, including vag com and an extra K03. Some guys say this motor is $3500, I founf mine for $1800.

I found mine for $2000 minus computer. I could have just dropped it in my '98 Jetta, but instead tore it down. The swap is going to cost me just under $10,000-no labor-all my sweat. But that is because I'm going ape**** on it. You could probably do it for $3500 less if you find a deal.......

I am somewhere between 7 and 8gs I guess
