I have an ABA block with the head from a 2H on it. When I rebuilt the block, I made the mistake of using "race" main bearings which are full slotted. This has resulted in my oil light blinking at idle. The oil pressure is still at spec (2bar @ 2000rpm @ 80C) but the light still blinks at idle.
I would like to replace half of each main bearing with a non slotted bearing while leaving the crank installed.
Will replacing only half of a bearing set cause problems??
