I just pruchsed a 2001 1.8T. I love the thing but have some questions.
What type of gas do you guys run? What does audi reccommend?
What size wheels. From what I hear 19s will fit but what if I wanted to drop it down the road? 18s then?
And for dropping it. How much of a drop is normally done on these things? And what is the best way to do it? Is just a set of springs ok for these things or should other suspension pieces be replaced?
Thanks

Re: Questions from new A4 owner (red96camaro)

before modifying your car, the first thing I'd suggest you change is your screen name

your engine requires at least 91 octane.. I've got my 1.8t chipped, so I run 93 octane whenever possible.. I prefer Mobil stations.. but you might have other options that I don't have in my area

18's won't give you any rubbing issues. Most 19's will rub even without a drop.
Typical drop is 1 - 1.5 inches. More and you're gonna piss off the alignment gods. Of course, the lower you go from stock, the more problems you encounter with wheel clearances.
There are a few good springs that will do the job on a budget, but, for the best results, a matched spring and shock setup is the way to go - coilovers are the very best way to go (most expensive, too).
