My alt. belt started slipping like crazy yesterday. The stupid bolt with a gear that allows the alt. to stay in place is mostly grinded down. I'll change that ASAP but can I mess up my belt while it's driving me mad? This evening, the low batt LED lit for 2 seconds...turned everything electrical off and then on one at a time...didn't happened since...your thoughts?

Yeah, it does mess up your belt some with friction rub, and ends up being no good.

dammit...that's what I thought...how difficult is it to change? I guess I should change the other belts while I'm at it...

Mine has air conditoning and power steering, and you have to take off both those belts just to remove the alt belt, so if ya have air and power steering, might as well replace them all...its not hard, just time consuming....
