Quick question DIGI

When did digi I and digi II come out and how do i know what one i have??? Car: '90 Jetta 8V Wolfsburg.

You have Digifant II.. and are lucky enough to also have Central Electric II wiring. (Motor swaps are 99% wiring-free for you!)

I thought the only difference between Digi 1 and 2 was that Digi2 equipped cars had an MFA. I have a 90 Jetta 8v and I always thought I had digi 1.

Digi II is 88-92 8v and has no OBD. Digi I is California and Corrado I think it has OBD but not much of one. Digi I has a Throttle postion sensor (TPS) while Digi II only has wide open and idle switches. There are other differences in emissions in the Digi I California cars at least.

A2 Digi I is CA only as far as I know and while the A2's and Corrados both have Digi I, they arent the same system. CA Digi 1 cars have a check engine light and have OBD. My car (92 Digi I 8V CA car) is compatable with the Vag Com tool.
