I was completely unawair that my car had (or still had) a factory alarm system untill i locked it with a friend in it, and when she opened the door it started honking and flashing. This made me wonder if there is a remote that can arm and lock/unlock the doors? any one know?

There is a vw module you can buy that does the remote functions you are asking about. You could also buy a aftermarket keyless entry. Since our cars arm the alarm when the doors are locked. Or they should

Thanks zyrod, I'm assuming my alarm works since it beeps when i lock it and the alarm went off when the dorr was opened. Anyone know of where or how much this module is or what types of after market products are available?
