16.1 @84mph. Pretty lazy, but this summer i will have custom exhuast, lightened flywheel, new clutch, Kumho summer tires (as opposed to my bald generic tires that were on the car last summer), new vacuum lines, and possibly even yet another supercharger...In other words, my car should be in prime condition.
I'm pretty sure my local track produces terrible times.. I've never seen / heard any VR6 / civic SI run better than a mid-high 16sec stock on my track, yet I hear from all you guys in the states that they run like low 15's on those cars

What are the stock times of the Syncro's and VR6's? I'm guessing high 15's best. I've raced 15 second cars and they've only beaten me by like 2 car length's so I'm guessing I'm somewhere in the 16's. My car stock is supposed to run a 17.9 and that's standard

They're not exactly drag racers, or race cars in any capacity. You can't expect much from a 3200 lb family sedan.

Exactly. The tranny's in these cars are the craps for racing, and they syncro's are WAYYY worse. And you gotta remember, 17.5 isn't that impressive on ashphalt, but it would be on ice.

edit- I ran 16.9 with only an intake and chip (along with 65 liters of fuel too!)
With the stage IV, I should signifigantly improve that time.

A B3 Passat GL Auto weighs around 3000 lbs.
My auto tranny is slipping sometimes. I heard it might be just a computer problem.
It would'nt be 17.5 in the ICE though. It would be less than that, but still better than a 2WD car.

How did you time it, sniff? I ran a 9.1 0-100 Km on a really bumpy road with a nice little peely. Clocked it the old fashioned way. STOPWATCH!
I'm going to redo it on a better road and a better start and with a GTech Pro.

Be careful with the G-tech's - you have to be on a completly flat stretch of road when testing. And with HP numbers on them you have to give a totally accurate weight of your car.
PS. Your signitures HP guestimate is pretty high.
To get those numbers you'll need at least this stuff:
2.0 bottom end, balanced crank
1.8 head, ported & polished, valve springs, TT euro spec cam blend,
Euro Throttle Body...
Poly Motor Mount...
Power Module (can't remember which brand)...
TT catback exaust...
Good plug wires, hogged out air box w/k&n...

HP does not rely on 1/4 mile times.... And 1/4 times (or speed in general) does not rely on purely HP. Speed relies on gearing, wieght of the vehicle, torque, hp, etc.
example.. I walk all over big suv's and trucks (dodge rams with 235HP, etc) and keep up really well with most muscle cars (300+hp) and my car doesn't even have 200HP. Gearing is a big factor in the speed of our cars. Mine is not geared for the 1/4mile, but still keeps up decently.. on the other hand, my car can hit 240+km/h with ease and in doing so will leave nearly all cars on the road(with the exception of BMW's) so far behind they won't even be eating my dust

That's true, but explain to me how a 17.9 GL Passat got beat only by 2 car length's by a 15.9 98 Accord V6 VTEC? He was garaunteed racing because he's a friend of mine and he told me he was punching it. He's also modded too with a exhaust and air flow.

And does your friends honda accord have proof (1/4 mile time slips) that he runs 15.9's? And how far did you race? Unless you raced for a 1/4 mile on a track, you cannot take in to account the other cars time.
ie. I could/and have raced 400+HP muscle cars and for the 1st 100-150ft i am ahead of them...nearly everytime... because of my awd system. I can't say that i have ~400HP also b/c i ran just as fast as them for those first few hundred feet. I also cant' say i have 400+HP because i beat the muscle car in a 5km race where i obtained a top speed of 240+km/h (140+mph) and he only got up to ~200km/h because of the gearing in his american car.
VW's are good top speed cars, so if you raced farther than a 1/4mile, you probably started to catch up to the quick-off-the-line Honda once you guys started getting some high end speed.
Take your car to a track and race it and / or do a dyno run on it. Those are the only true ways to get accurate numbers. Estimating your HP and 1/4 time from those of other cars you have illegally raced on the street is not an accurate way to do it.

Want proof on the Honda? 1998 Honda Accord EX V-6 Coupe. 3.0, V6, 200 BHP, 3205 lbs. 0-60 in 7.7 and 1/4 in 15.9. October, 1997. Road & Track. Right here in front of me. Also clock's the B4 VR6 at a nasty 17.2 1/4. Yuck!
THe stretch of road that we ran on was about the length of a 1/4 mile. I went over 100 Km on it for sure.
Now continue explaining to me why my car lost by only 2 car lengths. I don't think gears would make that much of a difference since the Accord's top speed is around 130 MPH. He should have destroyed me. Period. But he did'nt because I have some extra power. Nothing else makes sense. His car is also MODDED too by the way. And I was beside him at the start and not at the end. He was continuing to slowly gain more. I was not matching his speed ever.
