have you tried the regional threads to see if anyone has recommendations? Also im sure google can turn some things up too as far as reliability.

Yes to both and neither have been helpful, and I’m also looking for someone who has had experience with a mechanic they would recommend

There’s a machine shop in Azusa, Ca called “Steve’s Machine Shop”. Might be worth calling for a engine rebuild.
