Re: rabbit won't idle.... (GoFastChickenwing)

The o2 sensor wont affect idling, it will affect your gas mileage and performance. With the o2 sensor off, more gas is used as it is not monitoring the exhaust mixture, so more gas is used(ideally, increasing performance). As for idling, check your vacuum lines for leaks. With a line leak, at idle it should idle 'up and down'. Sorry if this sounds messed, but its to the best of my ability. If i am wrong, maybe another vortexer can help. Some of these guys baffle me at times - "How the fack do they know this ****e?"

Well,
When my Rabbit refused to idle, I replaced the injector o-rings, made all the difference in the world.
Buy the o-rings and the puller tool. Cut the old o-rings off with a big pair of cutters, lube the new o-rings with Red Line SI1 (works great), slide them babies home, pop the injectors in and you are down the road.

bad idle is usually caused by a vacuum leak which is why replacing o-ring seals fixes the problem if that is where the leak is occuring...
