Re: Race To Ruin - Why Street Racing sucks (PerL)
i greatly dislike when people use the terms "street racing" in a general sense. the speed limit on the interestates around here get up to 70 mph. you see many types of cars driving at velocities far greater than the limit and people constantly have crashes and many die due to their actions. looking at the picture of this story you see a home so i assume this was in a residential area. this my friends is very irresponsible at the very least. however, "racing" of all types occur all the time. i have seen
"races" in areas such as industrial parks at the wee hours of the night much safer and sane than the highways i drive on to get to school and to get to work. "street racing" has gotten a very bad rep do to the actions of a few very ignorant and immature people who feel they have to race everyone and everything at every hour and every place. remember, there is a proper place to poop and a proper place to eat. a basketball player at my university died 3 weeks ago. he got hit by a very speeding dodge durango (SUV) and died. i saw the whole thing. i hope that son of a turd gets locked up for good!!! just my opinion.
take care,
nashty
