I need To purchase a rack and pinion boot, but am not sure which rack and pinion I have. The car is a 1995 Jetta GLX with an auto trans. I believe it is the ZF code, but am not certain and do not know where to look to find out.

There's where to get the boots. Look at the body of the PS rack. If it is flat and black, it is a TWR. If it is silver and waffle textured, then it is ZF. I believe all VR6's come with ZF.
Thank you very much mr Trek. That should make it 100 times easier to determine the boot type when theyre clearly 2 different types. I had no idea there was even 2 different R&P's, and my grils car failed inspection due to a messed up boot. Thanks again.
