This is my first post so I just want to say hi to everyone. Looks like you all love your RS's as much as I do mine!

Anyway - probably a stupid question - does anyone know if the roof aerial comes off completely? I can unscrew it and get it flat, but I can't see any way to take it off - don't fancy ripping it off in a car wash!!!

Welcome to you,
The arial on the 2002 spec cars is a fold flat affair to deter thieves I think, on the 2001 model the arial simply unscrews.
You are right Mark, we all love our RS's. I have had mine for nearly 7 months and still enjoy driving it.

What exactly does the aerial on the 2002 model do i.e. folding? I know for certain that they unscrew as mine was "removed" from my car only two days after I got it!!! But, I did get it back - I was walking along our street and noticed a VW Golf with an aerial tucked through the loop in the passenger door handle - but the Golf still had an aerial on the roof - didn't think anything about it until I got out of my car later and noticed mine was gone. I got back pdq and grabbed the aerial - seems to be ok, took about 20 mins to screw the thing on and I now have a scratch on my roof, but otherwise ok. I certainly didn't notice any difference to the radio reception without it.
