Radio / Convertible Top Fuse

Changed out the radio in my wife's Cabrio. She had a blaupunkt that was had the face ripped off and I replaced it with another blaupunkt. For some reason the switched power (Red wire) to the radio is not working. I ran the radio using the battery wire temporarily. Now she tells me that the power top won't go up or down. Does anybody know if these two incedences are related? Is there a fuse that covers both these problems? Any suggestions on what to check?
