In europe there is actually EXACTLY that looking setup on late 90's TD Golfs, and it is different from the Rallye setup.

Cullen There be a reason it looks exactly like early 90's setup from europe. It's because he lives in Germany and it is a EuroSpec TD Golf....

Well in that case it is NOT a Rallye intercooler though they are similair in appearance they in fact are NOT the same.
I've been looking into this alot since I am (some day) installing that TDI engine I have into my Mk2 Golf Country and I need to solve the IC issue. I want OEM looks but this setup is not very effective in fact the location is not the best for air flow
Ask Rallye Ray (his car is the red one above) he knows alot about these he has tested / measured / "played around" with several different setups on his Rallye Golf, I think he himself doesn't even know HOW many ICs he has.
Rallye WITH AIR CON.

Rallye NO AIR CON.
(191 145 805 G engine = 1H)
(191 145 805 H engine = PG)

NON Rallye: Mk2 Golf TD.
(191 145 805 C engine = RA / SB)

Hooray!! My intercooler isn't a not a Turbo diesel intercooler. Ha! I told them so.
Not effective eh? <Looks at dyno results in sig> I wonder what it would do with an effective intercooler.
