It's crazy, because that whole thing was an urban myth that never happened.

Anyway, they still offer the same system, but now it's for the deaths that actually happen, which is careless parents who leave their babies in the back of the car to die in the heat.

I can’t imagine actually forgetting my kid, but either way both of our cars remind us (and you can disable it) to check the back seat if the rear door(s) are opened at any point, when you shut it off.
