I remember when Volvo had a heartbeat sensor in the back seat so that you would know if someone was hiding back there before you got into the car
It's crazy, because that whole thing was an urban myth that never happened.

Anyway, they still offer the same system, but now it's for the deaths that actually happen, which is careless parents who leave their babies in the back of the car to die in the heat.

I can’t imagine actually forgetting my kid, but either way both of our cars remind us (and you can disable it) to check the back seat if the rear door(s) are opened at any point, when you shut it off.

Just got a message from someone who actually used this set-up, although Not for what it was intended. Apparently he would load the canisters with bleach for burns outs on public streets,......

Huh? I clearly remember the commercials for the Volvo S80 that demonstrated it.

Wholly sh!t that’s cool! Let’s go to Wally World kids!!

Why hasn’t anyone ever cloned that concept with a Crown Vic wagon?

I’ll one up the wagon option with an 02 Audi allroad 6SP MT with collapsable, swing away and removable rear facing third row seat.

Side note: not suitable for adults 6’3” in stature.
