If your buying new pads let me give you some advice.... Don't use raybestes. I have gotten them twice now and every time I burn threw them in about 3 to 4 weeks. People say I dont downshift enough, but I always downshift. I think its just all those 85 to 0 stops. I need some proffesional advice on some new pads.

I say Mintex Red Box all the way(pulls on nomex underwear). It all depends on what sort of driving you're doing. I agree with you on the Raybestos pads; you couldn't pay me to use them for a door stop!

Another Mintex person here. I'm making the assumption that you're allowing for a proper break-in period, so I'll just say that you should stay away from putting Raybestos pads on your car. My rule of thumb is this: If they sponsor NASCAR, try not to put it on your car.

Ferodo pads.
Mintex red box are just low dust stock pads.
Re: RayBestes brake pads. (bluevr6)

Mintex here as well. Raybestos are just another parts store brand. If your going to buy pads from your corner store for your VW use BeckArnley....if those aren't around use Wagner's. But as fast as you can order them from any VW shop I'd jsut do that.
