So i decided to grab one of those RCD330+ Headunits and it came and i noticed it had a fuse in the back where i have one grey connector with two wires, orange/green and orange/brown, that plugs in there. I did some research and i’m having trouble locating any other headunit with the same thing. did i just get the wrong headunit ?

yeah it seems as if everyone has these but my jetta came with the one without the fuse so i’m confused 😂. any idea on how to repin those two wires ? or what they are for? i was reading that they could be illumination wires or can bus wires.

Are you sure the headunit is not a fake one?

Have you tried it?
Without full installation, check the functions.
Maybe the fuse is built in on board.

The layout of rear pins on your headunit are for MQB, and not for PQ35 platform. The 2 large flat pins on the right-hand side of the Quadlock plug are for GND and BAT. The 2 small pins you are asking about are for CAN+ (Pin 6) and CAN- (PIN 12).
