What kind of car is ths out of? i see that it's a hydraulic valve head, so it's probably a high comression something. the guy i bought my car from said it was an 83 rabbit motor.... he's obviously wrong, and a moron. I'm hoping it a cis gti ehad from 85-87...that would explain why my stock motor
keeps up with my freinds JH with a shrick 280 and P&P. hahaha sorry Chris (6SpeedMK1)
ahahah

Edit: I can't spell for SH IT http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

102 Hp, 1986-1988, A2 US GTI/GLI & Golf GT
Re: RD Engine Code? (Lunitixx)

you hear that chris!
102 hp. Your JH has 90 hp stock, and can't have more than 10HP added from the head work. You're going down sucka. wait till i put in the callaway head and Delta cam...

You get almost that much w/ a dual-port manifold and a TT exhaust.
A 1.8 w/ a Schrick 280 and dual-port/TT exhaust is probably good for close to 110hp.

Euro: Shut it up fool. we know you got something fishy going on under that hood.
AUDI powered, HA! you can't fool me with changing your profile!

MillerJW: i have the dual port manifold with euro non-cat downpipe and 2.25" exhaust and a couple of other smalll, things. i should be having a bit more power than 102. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: RD Engine Code? (Rabbit Micro Machine)

Hey there micro
i have an RD engine in my car right now and the only extra information i can add is that it is 10:1 compression and they only came equiped with a knock sensing ignition so use good gas and have your fuel mixture checked before the days start getting really hot.

The motor is stock no head work, no cam, stock bottom end. THe only thing I have done to it is a header, Weber TB, Lightened flywheel, and TT 2 1/4 cat back, and Euro Infection

Re: RD Engine Code? (eurotrashrabbit)

Nigel, the motor was in the car for a while, and i thought it was a JH for a while... so i ran 89 Octane gas... when i realized that it was a hydraulic lifter motor, i started running 93 octne, and it was like a donkey as kicking my car in the ass... thats how much power i gained. so... i know to run high octane, especially since i have no knock sensor setup.
Euro: post some picks of yur bunny. POS Bunny? ahhahaha Special edition. hahaha
