Are you sure? I had a 2002 loaner and it had rear cup holders. Check to be sure its not just stuck. Mine sticks sometimes.
My big question is, how do you fit people in the back seat?
So I guess that people who fits in the back of a 2001: Legless with a drinking habit. 2002 : Legless but on the wagon. I bought my Jetta to accomodate guests, once or twice a year. In my old Celica : Mission Impossible.

That is BY FAR the best BMW Film i watch it at least once a week to put myself into a better mood. I still can't get over the first turn he does when he just whips the wheel right and snaps his fingers over his right then left shold then he grabs the wheel. Insane!!!1
dont sopend money on those cupholders, they suck, they break, I have never used them but I can imagine you would get along just as well putting the container on the floor. Or better yet you could just pour it down your rear passenger's leg and get it over with.
Exactly!! they're good for nothing. If there are two people sitting back there, the cupholders will just hit them in the shins! I actually broke the spring-thing-a-ma-bobber that makes one of the cupholders grasp, while I was keyed off my ass in Mexico. I kept trying to push it back in and it would not GO! I broke it somehow, but fixed it as soon as I was sober. Off subject, anyways, REAR CUPHOLDERS = GOOD FOR NOTHING!

Agreed. That's a great piece of footage.
