Hey Guys,
I have narrowed speakers down to a couple of brands for the rears...MB Quarts, JLs or JBLs.
Anybody knows a website for car speaker reviews or had experience with these speakers. They will probably be coaxials but may get component woofers.
Let me know wasssup.

Re: Rear Speakers on the Shelf - 98 A4 Non Bose (ToledoTDi)

Toledo,
That is where the stock speakers are located...on the rear shelf and not into the rear doors. The fronts are already stock component and will upgrade the bottom midwoofers.
I am not going to do half the job...it will be the total package but the rears are being upgraded first.

Re: Rear Speakers on the Shelf - 98 A4 Non Bose (Mario Maverick)

I just think that rear speakers do more harm to the sound then good. Especially when they are better then the ones in the front. If there has to be something in the shelf I would think about getting only woofers and a crossover to cut out some of the highest frequensies.
well just my $.02

I see where you are coming but the front speakers size is only 4 inches. I don't think I can get much out of the front stock location speakers. Do you think so?
If the front doors could handle a 6.5 inch speaker size then the better but I don't think so.
Your thoughts? Maybe I should bring this to the Car Audio forum I just found.
Thanks.
