rear speakers to run off cd deck or amp???

does anybody have their rear speakers in a 4 door hooked up to an amp? how do you run the wires from the speakers through the door to inside the car? any comments or pics greatly appreciated http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

hide the wires under the door sill. make sure you run the "sound" wires on the opposite side of the "power" wires.

under the door sills? but when you close the door, wont it crush the wires?

under the door sills...meaning pop off the door sill cover, you will see a bunch of other wires under there too. to remove teh front sill covers, pop out the plastic rivet/screw at the base of the B-Pillar then, in one fluid motion,...
while kneeling, facing the car...
1: gently apply downward pressure on the top of the sill
2: with your fingertips, pull the bottom the sill up and out.

I installed replacement speakers in my four doors. I also made the mistake of not using the stock wiring. If i were to hook the door speakers up to an amp i would use the stock harness and not run wires through the connectors in the doors. These fittings are like nothing i have ever seen and i would advise against taking them appart as there are air lines for the door locks located in there. Instead just pick up the wires as they enter the connector, in the piller. The stock wires should be more than fine unless you are running high power speakers. I am not sure where the crossover is located but i believe that it is inside the door so there should only be two speaker wires entering. You would just take the speaker leads off the amp and hook the positive wire to positive and negative to negative. This is probably unclear so just ask specifics and i'll clarify. Also try the audio forum, they should be able to help more.
