I was looking through potterman's stuff today and I saw a Neuspeed rear stess bar for Golfs and Jettas (A3). How hard is it to install one of these? I own a Jetta and would like to get rid of all the chassis flex.
Actually, Canadian GTIs have one stock too!
But it definately isn't as good as the Neuspeed one, that one really works!
If you don't hear any squeeks, don't get it...you don't really need it, and it's a waste of space too!
It's the raised bar behind the seat on the front of the tray. If you lift the carpet up a bit right there you can see where your rear struts mount to the body. If you put an aftermarket one in there, you may have to cut some metal, unless it just bolts to the wheel well
I installed the autotech one on my golf (it was DAMN easy) but it is only one bar, not a triangle like the neuspeed one. Don't get me started on how much of a headache the front one was though!
