the reiger knob is nice, the shift pattern is LED lit and comes with a nice leather boot as well.. about $85 i think

 

i have the R32 shift knob....really nice, but a bit $$$

 

What are the knobs that are made out of plastic?

The Golf Ball is an industry standard for MKII's. Rocking a stock MKIV shift knob. You can get for $20 in the MKIV classifieds.

I'm running the ghetto-rubber accordion boot... it likes to slide down the shaft.
Normally I wouldn't have a problem with things sliding down the shaft, but in this case it's not acceptable.

Yes, a Golfball shift knob in a Jetta... is it so wrong?

I prefer a totally round knob, whatever type it is, as it always fits the same no matter how your hand is on it.

I have a leather momo in my Jetta and Corrado. But I put a Kamei rubber golf ball in my Caddy and it is the most satisfying to shift. I'm considering changing my other cars to the golf ball too.

 

Where can you get the golf balls? How about those red ones that still look like golf balls but say GTi on the top? How do they hold the boot up? I have a leather boot.
