wrong, can be replaced, just not bought buy its self.
I have a Silver stripe molding fro ma tilt dash that you can buy and just paint the chrome part red.
replacing it will be tricky but can be done

I replaced mine, which was damaged when the previous owner had his stereo stolen.
They can be popped out but you have to be very careful and patient. I practiced it a couple of times at the junkyard before I found a clean redstripe.
