Refinancing a year later - help!

I bought my first car (jetta) and financed it through VW (fairfax, va). My interest rates are about 12 percent. A year after making payments on time, I'd like to refinance. Has anyone had any luck doing this through VW? Or do you go through your bank (mine said I needed a co-signer since I have about 5k in credit card debt so that is not an option. Please give me hope that VW can help lower my interest rates! Someone!

I also financed through VW Credit at around 7-8%. Having the same issues as you, I called VW Credit to ask them just that...and they laughed at me.
Basically, I think the only options is to go through another bank. At least that's what I'm going to try to do...

give peoplefirst.com or eloan.com a shot... 6.7% seems to be the lowest possible for refinancing... this is the route I'm planning to take...
