reground solidlifter cam in hydro head?!?!

i know they have a very different base circle but can this be done? seems like a good idea in that you could regrind the solid lifter cam to your specs and still have way more lift than stock!
anyone been there/tried it??
BTW...i drove a car like this...the yellow bastard that taylor used to own(which really hauled arse BTW). i have the cam sitting on my desk here....markings look like this
cam gear=> |=82======049===A4==
and the other side:
cam gear=> |=05======MAR===3==
the 82 is upside down.
anyone know what this came from?
pulled from a hydro head that had several collapsed lifters and at least one broken valve spring. Collin @ techtonics said that it is probably a reground rabbit cam due to the 049 stamp. i don't have calipers to measure it.

Companies that do regrinds normanly use solid lifter cams cams to make hydro cams regrinds.

Just call Crane and get one of their hydaulic lifter cams.
