My new grill came last nite and I just did this.
Flip up that clippy thing.
Then stick a flathead screwdriver in the space between the 2 "slats" of the arm-thing...and twist. It'll widen the slats so they can come free. They just have holes riding on a little plastic pin.
To put BACK...push the upper arm (the part that attaches to the part you just removed) all the way back. Any other way and it moves around making the next part a PITA...then get things lined up and do the screwdriver/twist step again and hold it open till the holes/pins line up and remove.
It'll take you 20 mins to figure it out, then you can do it over and over in seconds.
