okay.. you are going to need atleast 2 people... 3 would be better.. first undo the support arm.. as someone holds up the hood.. there are then 2 bolts on each side that have to be taken off.. do it on the part attactched to the hood.. they are standard socket size..
oh yeah the support arm is tough to wrench off.. we removed the clips of the padding to get into it easier.. have fun and take your time gradually tightening the hood on each side as you allign it.. put the support arm on LAST.. other wise it gets crooked..

Did you get this hood from the group buy (dtm autohaus/custom werks)? Just curious cause I'm still waiting for mine.

Re: removing hood from jetta (oga)

Thanks for the reply. Can't wait to see the pic's. How long ago did you order it? How's the fit and finish? Sorry for all the questions, just can't wait to get mine.
Thanks,
Bryan
Re: removing hood from jetta (b.proulxgti)

I ordered it around the same time the group buy was going on...Well kinda pre-ordered it well before production started...as when i first ordered it they had to re-do it as they did not like the final outcome of the hoods...
I still do not have it on as the car is garaged for the winter, only being taken out on those cold, but dry and sunny days...but looking to put it on before the weekend...
the hood is still in the box and bubble wrap it came in...but from what I have seen of it when I inspected it...looks incredible...i am hoping the fit is just as good as the finish...

og
