removing the charcoal canister

Hey,
Anyone had experience with swapping the charcoal canister from the left to the right? The canister just below the airfilter.
I just wanted some consensus here as I plan to place a K&N pod there, I have a question regarding this mod. Firstly I wanted the pod as far away from the block as possible as the pod will be getting fresh cold air. My question is does the airflow meter have to be attached straight after the pod or can i run it as norm with a stainless steel pipe connecting the pod???

I did this procedure today, It went as expected. I also routed a piece of 3 1/8 inch tubing from the airbox to the vent under the bumper on the passengers side. This tubing looks like the dryer vent hose, but it is smaller, I gopt it from an autoparts store. It just fits over the opening where the snorkle comes off the airbox. It looks good and seems to provide a good source of cold air to the engine so far. More testing to come.

J Dub,
tell me more about your results as I plan to do it very soon, by the way how does it sound?

Tell you the truth, it does feel a bit peppier and maybe it has a bit more throtle response, but not that much. It is not any louder either. I expected that the intake would make more noise, I thought I would be able to hear it at WOT. I have only driven the car a few times since I did this mod this afternoon.
I did not put a K&N filter down there like you were mentioning doing, I wanted to give this a try first. I will be going on a road trip tomorrow, and put it to a real world test, see if it will hold up. I will let you know if I think of anything else that may be helpfull to you.
