Hey, I've got a 2002 GTI 1.8T and I have a remus muffler. I'm running it as a resonator back as opposed to a cat-back set up. I was thinking about cutting out the resonator and having a straight pipe welded in place so it would run as a cat-back. I was just wondering if anyone had a sound clip of a 1.8T running a cat-back remus system....anyone?? I know that if you take one of the two resonators out of a BMW it makes a HUGE difference in sound and I want to know if it would do the same to a 1.8T.

Re: Remus Exhaust (GTI 2744)

I don't have a sound clip for you, but i do have this set up in my jetta, and I must say that it sounds AMAZING! it's a lot deeper than stock on acceleration, but it's nowhere near loud and obnoxious. I won't say that it's as deep as a BMW, but it's noticably deeper.
i hope this helps...
