EC tested a Remus-specific muffler and it made 12whp on a chipped Jetta.
Not bad for a 2.25" muffler.
Get the right one and couple it to a TDi bypass and a DP. You will be pleased.
Add the above to a chip and intake, and I'm making 198/230 to the wheels. And I like Tyrolkid's post when someone was whining about 3"dp/cat and 2.25" piping beyond that...and how it sucked...then he says something like "Imagine, a setup like that only got me into the 13's..."

FWIW I'm selling my Remus OEM specific muffler with a TDI bypass pipe - I love the performance it gave me (not to mention the sound with the TDI bypass) but I'm planning on going 3" all the way now that I have the K04 installed. Let me know if you are interested.

This is what i have at my jetta 1.8t awd
The Remus c. b. is very silent and gives good power for 2.25"
