Take your alternator to an auto electrical specialty shop, or the next time it burns out have the dealer take it. Have them check all the diodes and triodes (smaller than diodes). Most likely you have a defective one. I had a 911 with a defective triode. It took three tries before the electrical specialist found it, but eventually we got it fixes and it worked perfectly. I am now an expert at removing and installing 911 alternators.
