Replacing mirrors on a 2000 beetle

Hey everybody, i've gotta question for you. My friend has a 2000 beetle and she hit a mailbox and knocked her passenger side mirror off. So she ordered one through my work, and wants me to put it on. I looked at it and it looked like it's only 3 bolts.
My question is, is it just the 3 bolts or is there more to it? any tricks?
I've tried searching here, google, and bug forums, and came up with nothing

Thanks!

Nah, nothing crazy at all. Just make sure you have allen keys or longer hex sockets and you'll be fine.

the mirror that i ordered for her has three bolts comin out of it. Looks like it goes inside doors and then you just tighten the nuts..am i close? any pics

Do you have the black trim piece off exposing the hinge?

No, i haven't started working on it yet. I was kinda looking for a DIY, just to make sure i don't mess anything up. She just bought it and loves the damn thing to death.

Just open the door and you'll see two screws holding that black piece on from the inside. After that it should be obvious what to do.
