I figure that maybe could it be time to check or replace anything else while the timing belt is off... Maybe perhaps new valve springs... yea but what kind? stock or HD...?
What else... help.
the car has 137K miles on it... About 100K is on the timing belt...

You'll need to do an idler pulley too, i'd get a valve job and a cam, its not that expensive. you'll be spending < $600 total and they have to do the timing anyways, so you won't get socked for labor twice.
