I noticed the back of my Golf III is a lot higher off the ground than the front, like 12 1/4 in. rear to 7 3/4 front. Is that normal?? I've seen some others driving around and they don't seem to have that problem. On a side note, can anyone tell me the point of the swiss cheesed airbox?

Re: Ride height question (vroooom)

Yes it's common to see the back higher than the front on your stock suspension. Coilovers and or cupkit would solve that issue http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
As for the swiss chesse airbox, don't do it. No benefits to that. Only makes your car loud. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

I beg to differ, it just doesn't make it loud, more air enters the engine, yes you hear more of the throttle growl, but, that's expected. It does have some benefit, I did a rough experiment going back and forth with cold air, swiss cheese mod and un-modded airbox, so far the modded box has given me the best results and improved gas milage http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

edit: ^^^^ ya, what he said.
i dont think thats the general consensus. more air=more vroom. additionally, if you only swiss cheese the outside side(duh), then cooler air=denser charge.

riiiiight?
