Here's our latest cage. Design based on old VW Motorsport cages with concessions to SCCA rules.

Here's the cage in my ITB Golf. All thats left is to mount the seat and its done (the cage that is, the rest of the car is far from complete).

Now if we can only get the car done for the start of the season...

Definitely, as well as a Petty bar. The car was originally intended for Group 2 ClubRally, but we decided to go IT racing instead. These pictures are a few months old, but are the latest I have. We also have to patch over where I put the roof vents as well as cut back the bars that go through the firewall. You know, details.

That's another part left over from the rally car project. Thankfully, we never installed it.

Does anyone have experience are seen a Kirk racing weld in cage? I am looking at purchasing one. It's a 6 point with added parts to make it an 8 point.

I really like the fact that it's attached to the frame rails rather than the floor. All the local shops want to attach the cages to the floor.

Yep.
I bought one in 1994. I loved it and it fit great. And I used it later that year...
I sold the cage after the wreck. The car was thrown in with the deal.

The cage I coulda had if we were still going rallying, and weren't worried about the "8-point rule" they have in IT.

UPDATE:
Looks like I'm rallying the car after all. With that in mind, the cage will look pretty much like it does now, with the exception of more attachment points, especially to the A and B pillars.
