Has anyone else experienced a rough idle with the Tiptronic in Drive? It is bad enough to shake the left headlight quite noticeably (why only left?). I've had the left headlight assembly replaced and tightened twice, and the headlight still shakes which leads me to believe it is the rough idle and not a loose headlight. Funny, the right headlight is steady as a rock though. Any thoughts?

The only rattle I have is noticeable at idle. Each headlight assembly probably has it's own natural frequency and your idle must be at the natural frequency of your left assembly.
Changing the mass of the assembly (up or down) or the stiffness of the mount (stiffer or more flexible) might work.
Easiest test might be to jam something under the mounts or just push down on the assembly to see if the vibration stops. A permanent "fix" might be to glue/screw a weight to the assembly.

Re: Rough idle with Tiptronic in Drive (GKah)

I also noticed that the left side of the hood vibrates much more so than the right side. Strange, isn't it? The rough idle only occurs when the Tiptronic is in Drive and the brake pedal fully depressed. In neutral, the idle is noticeably smoother. Perhaps the torque converter is too grabby (too much pressure)?
