you guys remember that commercial for the Boxster (?) where he's sitting at a railroad crossing waiting for the train to pass, and it gets to the caboose & the train stops and starts going backwards?

I had one of those experiences tonight.. the train was actually backing up, and then the locomotive appeared and right when it was in front of me, it stopped, and started going the other way
The train cleared the area a few minutes later, but the [email protected]$!#@% crossing arms stayed down. I was tired of sitting there and went around the arms. I could see the RR crossing arms in my rearview for sometime afterwards and they where still down.
Anyone had to do that before? Where you knew the coast was clear, but the RR arms weren't cooperating?

happens to me sometimes...and one time, it was even worst....i live in an area with 2 different railroads, both less than half a mile apart..........and apparently 2 train stopped and i was stuck in traffic for 30 mins..........
