Re: Sachs Performance with H&R Sport 2" on MKIV TDI (pekker)

i put the pictures again. This is H&R Sport (2" drop) with Sachs Performance.
Tell me you comments: is it too low? when the shocks settle, will it go lower?

Re: Sachs Performance with H&R Sport 2" on MKIV TDI (Error)

Nope, the H&R Sport comes in 1.5" and 2" versions (at least in europe). The guy at the suspension shop present me with both heights (i saw them) and i chose 2". Though my car is lighter than other golfs because of the absense of rear seats and muffler (TDi) and the 2" H&R Sport only lower the car by 1.5"...

Re: Sachs Performance with H&R Sport 2" on MKIV TDI (pekker)

A week later after i installed the suspension and i have a question.
When i went to the mechanic and he saw the spring, he commended that the bottom 2 rounds of the front springs are touching each other. You can see that on the 3rd picture. I assumed that it was normal until i tried to push hard on cornering and realised that not only they are touching eachother, they are also scraping each other producing an intence metallic sound. This never hapends on straight , even if passing speedbumps with 40km/h.
So my question is: Since the springs are the ones that define the car height, is there any chance that the manfacturer made the springs so that the bottom 2 coils are touching each other?? My car is meant to be lighter that other golfs so this shouldnt be happening , since these H&R are specific for golf MK4s. Had anybody else witnessed this ?
