I just installed a brand new Sachs POwer Clutch into my 88 jetta, and i have an odd clicking sound and feel a clicking in the pedal as i release the pedal. Could this be a pressure plate or clutch disc problem? Or is this clutch designed that once its worn in, it will have this clicking? Thanks

Re: Sachs Power Clutch (gearhead455)

i got a new bearing, new rod, and it was installed by a vw mechanic...i lost my pedal the one day and it was due to a worn out bering and a worn down pushrod...so we bought everything new and installed it...i had this with the last one too, and i was told it was the pressure plate diaphram that may be busted somehow...which would suck cuz a stock sachs held up better...

Re: Sachs Power Clutch (vwgroundzero)

I have been buying many parts for my project 88 Cabby [soon to have an updated Callaway Turbo Stage II+]. I believe it was around $160-$200. I bought some other parts too and I wasted money on flywheel bolts [comes with the kit]. I have spent well over $5000.00 and it is not even put together yet. I keep saying a month or two and it will be done. Waiting for the knife edged crank from Fast Bunny now.
